Brain and Mind

When do you use 'brain' or 'mind'? We've explained the differences for you!

'Brain' refers to the physical organ that is found inside your skull.

"He was lucky to escape the accident without a serious brain injury."

"The disease affected her heart, lungs and brain."

The word 'mind' can not refer to the physical organ.

We use 'mind' to talk about the part of you that thinks and understands the world.

"In my mind, I see the world differently."

"I had a lot on my mind today."
